Hank 41 & 1 Football Heart

The Henry Schueler 41 & 9 Foundation is dedicated to the memory of Henry and to perpetuate his legacy from his unfinished life. Hank passed away on December 14, 2007 at the age of 14.  Henry Schueler had leukemia.

The name of the Foundation comes from the numbers Henry wore in football and baseball.  Henry’s football number at St. Mary of the Woods and St. Patrick’s High School was 41. His baseball number, while a member of ESAA baseball and All-Star teams, the Edgebrook Bulldogs and St. Patrick’s was 9.

Henry Schueler was born on March 9th, 1993.  His life was short.  The 41 & 9 Foundation is seeking donations to provide funding for research and treatment of pediatric cancer.  Hank’s memory will remain alive as his foundation works toward helping children survive the cancer and infections that took the life of Henry Schueler.  The 41 & 9 Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) not for profit.

Our goal is to provide funding toward innovative, leading edge research in the field of pediatric high risk leukemia and the fungal infections children are at risk for contracting while their bodies immune systems are compromised during chemotherapy treatment. Researchers need to understand and develop new techniques and approaches involved in the treatment of this infection’s like zygomycosis in order to improve outcomes for immuno compromised patients.

We are convinced that somewhere down the road, families will thank anonymous Foundations and people like all of you that have built this Foundation, to help save children’s lives.
We personally thank you for supporting the fight against children’s cancer.
Matt and Susan Shueler
