Steve Bartman, Moises Alou Game 6, 2003 NLCS

We can all agree Chicago sports traditions are consistent.  The Fire Department is also consistently playing sports for charities.

The Chicago Fire Department has teams that compete in everything from volleyball to bags.  A lot of the competitions are friendly rivalries with the Chicago Police Department.  Games between us are always played hard, and are always fun for the players, family, friends, fans and sponsors.  Police vs Fire typically has a Cubs vs. White Sox atmosphere.

Some games are annual, and some sports are played regularly.  Some of the bigger games and events are:

Baseball

Fire Department Boxing Team

Fire Department Football

CFD Gaelic Football

CFD Flames Hockey

Police vs. Fire Competitive Eating

Subscribe to the Ignite the Spirit newsletter to stay informed of all the Fire Department sports contests.  Every game is for a good cause, and they are always fun.  You can follow the fire department sports schedule here.
